yes chinese food is one of the healthiest, as long as it's authentic chinese food and not takeout. my great grandmothers, one lived to be over 100 and the other late 90s. The diet consists mostly of lots of veggies, fruits, steamed rice, noodles (pref noodle soups with clear broth), and occasionally small amounts of meat, fish, and seafood. There's no dairy, breads or butter. Just don't use too much oil and soy sauce. Also, they exercised a lot, like walking many miles to get water from wells everyday. So if you want a long life, just eat healthy and exercise.

Oyster sauce isnt very good and chinese food has a lot of that. But rice is the best food. I have been eating rice my whole life everyday and i never get tired of it. It is the best food to give carbohydrate and dietary fibre. Compared to othe carbohydrate source like bread which contains high calories, potatoes causes minor constipation and corn causes runny egestion. Rice is just right. Chinese food may not be the healthiest but it certainly is the tastiest.

There's nothing wrong with a "Chinese" meal occasionally. NO, you will not lose weight by eating a Chinese meal daily as most of it is fried. There is also another reason you should not eat it daily............. Mono-sodium Glutamate!! All Chinese food contains this flavour enhancer. Whilst being perfectly safe,it has been linked to abnormal/rapid heart beats. It can also create many more health problems in certain people.

noodles and rice are still carbs so it depends. i know alot of fat chinese people... and i know alot of unhealthy old people. i think that bringing in certain types of tea into your diet would help with weight and health.
as for the food, have you seen people prepare chinese food? i've seen them many times on japanese tv shows and they do not measure the amount of oil and other stuff they put into their pans. they just kind of scoop it up or just pour it in... if you go to a fast food chinese place maybe its best to get the nutritional info first. i know many of them use msg and too much of that im sure is not good for u either.

rice and noodles are simple carbohydrates, easily and quickly reduced to sugars in the body and burned, however, they also use up your existing supply of insulin, so any other calories consumed will be stored as fat.
Suggest a balanced low calorie diet will produce the results you want, the noodles and rice will not.

Well all those billions of Chineese cant be wrong... But I would tend to doubt the American version of chineese food... if for nothing else 1 serving of chineese food for 1 person in an american chineese restaurant would likely feed 1 chineese person for an entire week... and it will last me for 2-3 days..
Pardon the attitude but if you eat like a pig you will look like a pig.. dosent matter which type of food you eat if you simply eat too much...

Remember is not the fat amount that counts, is the calories you consume per day.
