I feel so sad for your loss and also for your boyfriend.
I know for boys, it's very hard for them to express their feelings and they just don't open up as easily as girls do.
One of the most important things for you to do is to be available for him at any time when he feels like talking. Don't force him to talk, or to share his feelings, or anything. Let him guide what is best for him. In a loss, you might know, it can be just as tough dealing with people coming to you to want to know how you're feeling, if you want to talk and if there's anything they can do to help. It can be just as overwhelming as the loss. Sometimes what people say to try to uplift you can be pretty unecessary and emotionally draining.
Give your boyfriend some space if he asks for it, if he feels like doing something that you know is destructive, tell his mom, watch out for him and be supportive and call him once in a while and invite him out for a walk or anthing else that might take his mind off the sad moments.

I just lost my mom to cancer 2 months ago. The only thing you can do is be there when he needs a shoulder to cry on or someone to listen. He's lucky to have you in his life. My prayers go out to you both. God bless.

It's not what you do or say that will matter. It is your presence that will show him you care enough to go through this with him. I am so sorry for both of you. That's a lot to handle at any age.

Just be there if he needs you. This is something he may need to be alone to handle. Everyone manages grief in a different way. Take a wait and see attitude.
