County Durham is a wonderful place, beautiful cathedral, great shops and market, lovely people who are the salt of the earth, my hubby's mom came from County Durham, we visit regular to visit family up their and in Bishop Auckland, love the place.

You missed out that the much hated Prime Minister of this country has his constiuancy (the area he represents) in County Durham as well.
