Is that true? or is it said to comfort those who lose young children. Surely there are old people who are 'good' as well, mother Theresa and Ghandi to name but a few.

In spiritual circles people believe that we come to earth to learn lessons and help our spirit grow.Some people only need to come here for a short amount of time and others for many years.Hence the saying "only the good die young"

No, but if someone dies young and is a Christian, they will go to Heaven and not experience all the pain they would have if they lived.

yes its true i lost my dad 5 years ago and he was only 50 i lost my best friend and she was only 16 the list goes on

Untrue. Suicide bombers are typically young but they are seen as good only by those who share their beliefs.
