A crush, or just "liking someone" becomes love when you would be able to put the other person first, and you would care about them, and be devoted to them. Also, when you could stand them being angry, and be willing to work things out with them.

A crush is when you really like someone... you can have a crush without even knowing the person... for example, I have a crush on Johnny Depp :). Being in love is when you're actually with a person and you start to love them unconditionally... you want to spend the rest of your life with the person and they feel the same way... you have to actually know the person to be in love with them and it usually takes a long time to know that you actually love them, and not just think you do... For example, I'm in love with my fiance of 5 years...

It's just one of those things you can't really explain with words, you'll just get this feeling you know is more than just a physical attraction. It usually takes a long period of time to develope, the best sign is the more you get to know about someone the stronger your feelings get.
I know it's not very clear, but I hope it helps.
