In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.
Love and blessings

What you've heard is incorrect. There are a handful of verses in the Qu'ran that talk about killing pagans (not Christians or Jews). These rules were created to govern conduct between early Muslim tribes and local pagan tribes that they held treaties with. As with all religious texts, the wording is complex and open to interpretation, but it generally allows Muslims to kill under the following conditions:
1. Their life is threatened or war declared.
2. Another person attempts to stop them from practicing Islam.
3. A pagan tribe breaks a treaty with their tribe. War may then be declared, but the pagans must be given an opportunity to convert before being killed.
By all means, you should not take my word for this. I highly suggest that you obtain a copy of the Qu'ran (there are several available online) and read it for yourself.

Islam is associated with Satan in the way that any religion that doesnt teach the Bible is created by Satan to lead people away from the Bible. Killing is not a sin in Christianity, murdering is. God told the armies of Israel to kill alot of people in wars. but they didnt murder anyone.

I have been associated with many religions due to the general confusion I encounter in about everything making me sometimes lose control of myself, so as a natural form of defense I resort to learning about different religions and immediately experimenting them. But now as time has gone and I have done enough good and bad, I learned time, dedication and perseverence only teach you what path is the best. So far I researched about Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, General Spirituality, and Islam.

Wow. you know the quran better than the bible. Maybe you should convert.
2 Chronicles 15:13
Whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
Check Deuteronomy 13:6-10 if you want more.

No, they do not believe in Satan, nor is their god your Satan.
As for the bible not saying to kill people not sharing your views, I would like to point you towards Leviticus, where people who worked on sunday were supposed to be stoned. A lot of guidelines were given in the bible on how to deal with people who broke the lord's law without breaking the man's law, and some of them were rather horrible. Lapidation, burnings, lashes, many of these were recomended in the bible.
I would also point out that in many cases, christianity forcefully converted people, as it happened in north america. I will adapt an old saying you may recognize "He who's religion has not sinned cast stones first." (I would also like to point out that by this saying, Jesus admited to having sinned because he cast nos tones.)

I'm a Muslim and I fear for my life sometimes!
let me tell you why and clear things up a bit.
I'm a shiat and I DON'T believe that whoever doesn't convert to Islam should be killed.
But check this out:
A sunni considers a shiat an outsider of religion and s/he says the shiat's blood is clean to spill and so s/he is required to kill the shiat.
The shiat was and is a Muslim too!!!
So do you think that a sunni (bin ladan is sunni, saddam hussein was sunni, etc) who allows her/himself to kill another Muslim (the shiat) would care about whether or not it is right to kill a non-Muslim who didn't convert?
Now check this out:
A couple of weeks ago, I was watching TV and the subject was about the grandson of the Prophet who was killed on that day (10th of Muharram) hundreds of years ago. A sunni viewer called up and said finally its Muharram and we get to go out and kill some shiats!
And of course bombs went off in shiat's mourning sites on that day.
Check this one out too:
The family who killed the Prophet's grandson was the Bani Ummayid. The 3rd Caliph of sunnis, Othman, belonged to the aristocratic Ummayid!!!
One has to have lots of guts to go against their own religion and kill their own Prophet's grandson!!!
Now check this one out:
The Quran says that "let my religion be mine and your religion yours."

Ever hear of a little thing called The Crusades? Why do people aways forget that the Muslim, Christian, and Jewish faith all have the same origin. Different branches of the same tree.

Do please lay off the Muslims, they are human beings like the rest of us. Some of them are exalted, insistent and who invariably utter the most boring platitudes about Islam. These persons annoy us because they are so trite and silly but, on the whole most of the rest of them can be fine people. Incidentally, I am not a Muslim.
