He has 3 warrants he has no money to pay for over $6000 all are for Speeding and traffic stuff that he never took care of because he didn't have any money. Some are improper registration and stuff like that. They arrest him and let him go, they want the money.
They have suspended his license for 5 years. He can't afford an Attorney. He has a two year old and 1 on the way. It has gone on so much now He has no means to take care of it.
He has jobs on and off but has no transportation to work.
I don't want to enable him by bailing him out, is there anything I can do?

YES THERE IS SOMETHING YOUR SON CAN DO. HE NEEDS TO SIT DOWN AND FILL OUT A FINANCIAL STATEMENT - SHOWING WHAT HE MAKES AND WHAT HE PAYS IN EXPENSES FOR HIS FAMILY. THEN HE NEEDS TO EITHER A TURN HIMSELF IN OR B APPEAR IN COURT. IF HE IS ACTUALLY GUILTY PLEAD THAT WAY. PRODUCE THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT AND PLEA INDIGENT TO THE JUDGE. MEANING THAT HE IS UNABLE TO EVER PAY THE COURT BECAUSE HE IS FINANCIALLY POOR. IF THE COURT ACCEPTS HIS BEING INDIGENT THEN HE MAY HAVE TO WORK OFF THE FINES WITH TIME IN JAIL OR COMMUNITY SERVICE. THIS I BELIEVE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST HE WILL BE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH.

Sounds like the helping time has passed. It appears he is not a learner for if he was he would not have kept getting tickets. It would also seem he has not learned to not have children particularly when he doesn't have a steady job and has $6000. in citations against him.

I might consider helping him out, but I would certainly want some assurances that I was going to get it back in some way and not just give him a free ride. It seems he has had plenty of these in the past and hasn't learned anything from them.

Get a hold of the court house and get that set up on a bi-weekly or monthly pay off arangement. No you can no tkeep bailing him out but this would help him as far as not being delinquint on paying. You can also purchase bus tokens to get back and forth to work. They also hand out schedules and maps. Most cities have dependable transportation routes in effect.

If all of his violations are in the same jurisdiction, try to speak with the local prosecutor about the situation. He can serve the time on the week ends if he is employed. Your son has to be willing to make sacrifices and get this taken care of. The fines at the DMV are pretty muck set in stone. He could possibly get a hardship license that will allow him to drive to work, only.

I hate to say it but there's not much you can do. He is in bad need of an attorney. I don't know your son but it sounds like he's made his bed and now he's got to lye in it. I can sympathize, i'm a chronic speeder. Perhaps he can get a loan from someone to afford one of those lawyers that doesn't make anythinig until they help you. Maybe he could at least get his liscense back.

That is very bad situation your son finds himself in....However, what would he learn if you showed paid everything and the left...The answer is nothing....

The best thing is to help him with it transportation....Maybe a purchase of a bicycle if it is a small town, bus pass, or anything to help him get to work to get his own money to pay his own tickets, and his child support....

He made his bed, its now time to lie in it....

Good luck that is hard position he is putting you in
