Those who rape young boys in prison should be dealt with as well. They are ofthen forgotten in these hate discussions.

Sometime when a man goes to prison there will be men in there that are never gonna get out there fore they are called lifers and the one thing a lifer hates most is a rapist,and a child molester and people like Jeffery Dalhmer.He was murdered in prison for his gruesome acts he committed against his society and the victims he made in it. Its OK to send these type of evil people to the prisons on this planet because if he's Lucky then maybe he'll be sent to Oz which is one of the worst prisons on this planet.Alcatraz no loner is used,but when it was open for business that was the worst back then. Now there are other places that are dubbed worse than others and if a man is foolish enough to mess up his life and get his freedom snatch from him because of his ignorance don't worry.He'll get his free night stay in hotel jail and even a longer stay in hotel hell and never see another day of freedom until the justice system says so and/the Warden becomes his boss for life if he kills someone.Besides i know that there are drugs that Dr. can prescribe the molesters and rapist and they'll suffer the effects of E dysfunction while living locked up in a cell for life.

I asked the question this week and had an overwhelming response. The majority believe we should bring back Capital Punishment.
A two year old baby was raped and murdered.
How can we possibly allow this to happen and the beast
be locked up and have special treatment in case of the other
prisoners getting at him? The do gooders will say that he has
got to live with it for the rest of his life. But until we bring back
Capital Punishment there will never be a deterrant.
Rapists and Molesters should be surgically castrated at the very
least.

One thing people haven't considered is that the amount of money provided by the federal government for mental hopsitals has been decreased so much that many have had to close or kick out patients. When children exhibit signs of serious mental illnesses, and then can't get proper treatment, they often grow up to be someone who molests children or commits rape. Part of me wants to see these people locked up forever or put to death, but part of me also sees how tax cuts and cuts in funding have allowed more people who would do things like this come to be.

This may sound awful but death I'm afraid or at the very least life imprisonment. These people are very, very disturbed and prey on the innocent. They can never be safely let back into society unlike muggers etc. Would ou release a lion into the community? Well paedophiles are just as predatory. If the baby in the news were mine I'm afraid that man would never have made it to police custody.

I think they should loss their live hang them in town square! I'm fine with that I do prefer a firing swad bults are cheaper then rope! Trust me I was raped and molested when I was younger and my life will never be completely normal!!! The life I could have had was stolen from me by those horrible people! My husband's life has been affected by it and my daughters will be to. I don't let my little girl out of my sight because I'm always scared that some thing is going to happen. My husband has to go to the store with me after dark because I'm to scared to go alone! They took my life from me so they should loss there life! Think about those women and men that went thou these horrible things their lives will never be the same.
I just want to know when people will stop worrying about the criminals and their rights's and start worrying about the rights of the victims!

In cases where there is ni noubt what so ever I truely think it should be the death sentence. Wots the point in keeping people alive in prison for the rest of their life, when they have taken or ruined other peoples lives. Too many people in the world to waste thousands/millions on murderers etc, why should they be cared for, fed, clothed, educated etc when the 3rd world is full of good,g=honest & very needy people who do deserve help .

I agree. More and more these monsters are coming 'out of the closet' so to speak. They see nothing morally wrong with their doings and think everyone should feel sorry for them.
Unfortunately, they are backed up by societies 'do gooders' and these days have too much protection for their horrific crimes!
If DNA samples are obtained from the scene and there is no doubt that they were the perpetrator, then YES they should be wiped out completely. Otherwise it will drain the tax payers money keeping the monsters in prison and providing them with their luxuries whilst there. E.g Huntley and his chocolate buttons!!

I agree with you on capital punishment being brought back. However, I have been told even the prisoners can't stand the child rapists. So they get it in the back end as often as possible. Now they know what it's like.

If the man arrested is found guilty, he should never be released from jail. He is probably severely mentally ill and will need treatment, but the risk of ever releasing him is too great.
I don't believe that the death penalty is ever justified, although this case does really test my views on this.
I find it disturbing, however, that too many people are not giving a single thought to the family in this tragic case and seem to be competing in a "Who can think up the goriest punishment?" game.

I think they should be hung, a member of my family was abused and although there was DNA evidence the abuser was found guilty and sentenced to one year in jail. how is that justice for destroying an innocent child's life and as for putting them on the sex offenders register what goods that going to do none at all its not going to stop them re offending.
