You can't make the baby smaller. You can ask to be induced at 38 weeks. The baby is considered full term then...but you can't make those kinds of decisions.

I don't know why you would want a small baby...how incredibly selfish you are. I am a mom of a small baby(now 2 1/2) and trust me that is not what anybody would want and if they do there is something seriously wrong with them and shouldn't be having babies anyway.
It is a myth the more babies you have the bigger they get...I have had 3...baby number one was 8 pounds 6 ounces, baby number 2 was 6 pounds 14 ounces and baby number 3 was 7 pounds 5 ounces.

Were you by any chance diagnosed with gestational diabetes? Women with diabetes have much larger kids. Also, the number of kids makes no difference. They can be all over the charts for weight. I would hope for a happy, healthy baby, not a small one.

Chinese people believe don't eat too much BEEF, then the baby won't grow so big, I had diabetes when I was pregnant, I was told by Mum don't eat too much beef otherwise the baby would grow too big. And it worked!! But I have to say there is nothing wrong if you have a big baby!

Yeah, you can have a smaller baby: by abusing it before it's born. You can malnourish it, poison it with alcohol and cigarette smoke, and pull some stupid, emergency-inducing stunt to go into labor early. But I don't think you're that kind of a horrible person. So no, there's nothing you can do.
Rule of thumb: Your baby will be somewhere between YOUR birthweight and the baby's FATHER's birthweight.
If your husband was 10 pounds, and you were 7.5 pounds, your babies will be born between those two, with most of them averaging in the middle.

It is highly likely you would have another big baby. Unless you or the baby is sick, then it would be big I assume.

You could smoke--that causes both premature births and low birth weights--but would it really be worth it just to have a smaller baby? Perhaps it would just be better to ask your doctor to induce you a week to ten days before your due date.

you can't control what the weight of your unborn child is going to be. if the kid is going to be big, the he's going to be big, just deal with it.
