Well let me put it this way from extensive hospital experience...its bitter sweet, Because life is very precious but I feel saddened that some of these children have to be raised by idiot parents who couldn't wait till they were beyond the age of 14 to have have them. Its sad that a young girl who knows nothing about reality can have a child and not have the first clue on how to properly raise it. Its scary. But I always hope deep down that the child will overcome. Too many young kids pawn the child off to their parents.

I've been in health care for about ten years now, and I still think it's gross. Maybe that'll change when I have kids of my own, but I really doubt it.
Don't get me wrong. I think babies are great the process by which a new person is formed is just awesome. From an asthetic point of view, it's unfortunate that actual childbirth has to be a part of the process.

Maybe I have a slightly different point of view, seeing as my wife and I adopted our son. Our son's birth mother is an amazing woman in many ways. She invited us into the delivery room when the baby was born. My wife and I stood in the corner trying not to get in the way. I am still not sure what to think of the actual delivery. It was a little gross, but not all that bad either. I guess my wife and I just watched in stunned silence. After the delivery the birth mother and her mother, who was helping during the delivery, poked fun at us. They said we looked like deer caught in the headlights.

I personally have been wittiness to three child birthings and found myself overwhelmed by the emotional experience each time! To actually watch as a new life emerges and becomes its own separate entity from the mother is, to and for me, astounding! No, I won't deny the clean up and subsequent proceedings following the birthing are a little messy, yet all in all, completely understandable.

After the first two, I was ready to deliver the third one myself, since it was happening so fast, on a Friday afternoon, and there was no doctor in the delivery room yet.
The first time is both beautiful and a little disgusting, but it is so worth it!

I think it's beautiful but at the same time kinda disgusting. Your bringing a life into the world which is truely a mircle at that but still it's just disgusting to see it come from there you know?
I don't mean to sound ignorant or foolish just my opinon that's all.

I was there for all 5 of my children and thought it was just amazing. Wonder why all men would not want to see it. But I do question why anyone ever video tapes it. I mean really, when are you ever going to watch it, or even, who would you show it too. It may be a bueatiful sight, but it is also very personal and revealing.

I had to have a C-section and my husband watched and thought it was an amazing thing. My brother-in-law and I were in the room with my sister when she gave birth to both of their children and he said it is an awesome thing to see the child you helped conceive be born. It is a rush like no other. My dad on the other hand passed out when my mom was giving birth to me and stayed out of the room when my other 2 siblings were born. It depends on the guy I guess and how they handle the sight of blood and seeing the woman they love in pain.

Well, all of the blood and the bubble resemblence of the head coming out is kinda gross, but i think its amazing how women can push something that large out and still be willing to do it again. so i guess because its gross and amazing at the same time that makes it cool.
