You could. Usually for most people getting past 2g is considered the point of no return meaning that the ear skin has lost too much elasticity and may not stretch back down, but that will vary from person to person.
Usually if you remove the jewelry and it doesn't go back on its own, its a very simple nip and sew surgery to have normal ears again.

Depends on what size you gauged em to. Mine went back to normal all the way but I didn't have them huge or anything.

well, it depends on what gauge you got up to. generally 10 or larger wont go back to being completely normal. they will shrink with time, but your ears only have so much elasticity.

it has to be surgically done, they will have to split the lobe, rough up the smooth edges down to meat and then sew it, cost about 300. an ear

I doubt it. I pierced my ears myself and then took them out over 10 years ago and, though they have healed, you can still tell.

Yep...I've gone to 00 and went back to normal than back to 00 but ay bigger than that you can't.
