any car is good for a roadtrip!

What are your specific needs, why do you need so much space? how many people are going?

I like cars with trunks for road trips, because you can lock all you stuff up when you are away from your car. less chance of theft if they can't see what you have.

when we drove to texas from upstate new york(me my wife and our two kids) we rented a ford focus.ordinarilly i don't care for the newer fords but this car preformed well. it got good gas mileage and was roomy enough as well.
