I sympathize with you. There are People I CAN NOT STAND. I don't want to be around them. Foul Mouthed Arrogant dirt bags who are all about themselves, and try to insult me as a Christian, then giggle like a girl when they think they are getting under my skin.
What di I as a Christian do ? Beat the crap out of them ? No. Cuss them like the Dogs they are ? No. I am REQUIRED to Love Them, and Forgive Them, but I am NOT REQUIRED to allow myself to be Abused by Them, or even to LIKE THEM ! I stopped long ago casting my Pearls before Swine, I will not give that which is Holy to Dogs. I Avoid them, and when I cant I Ignore Them.

You really need to figure out where the dislike comes from and see if you can forgive that which urks you. You must of had other feelings for this person at one point as you could not harbor such resentments otherwise.
If it was just a matter of not wanting to deal with them then you could easily dismiss them. I have drawn a line in the sand with people whom I feel relations are not healthy or productive or in any way enriching. I feel nothing but indifference for those people. If it bothered me to see them then I would know in my heart I had unresolved issues with them or me.

Try to understand why they are the way they are. If that does not work just stay away from them as much as possible. Maybe if you are always good to this person they will become someone you like. If you are incapable of being good to this person avoidance must be practiced so that you do not do or say things you will regret.

First, ask yourself why this person bothers you so much. Then try to discover what YOU can change about your way of thinking about the other person so that you aren't allowing this person to effect you so negatively. We *choose* what we allow to bother us. I also agree that in praying for someone else it's kinda hard to dislike them because you end up pitying and wanting to help them.

Ask Jesus to help you in dealing with this person. Cause this person no harm, don't go out of your way to inflict pain or bad thoughts about them. Remember Christ died for that person too, and if you hold unforgiveness in your heart, God will not answer your prayers. It is not worth really hating anybody.

I would suggest taking your Bible out, and going to speak with him/her about your faith. There is nothing that will drive someone from your midst quicker than hoisting your belief system on them. You could also consider, eating gassy foods and sitting real close.
Either way should have the desired effect.

Pray until God gaves you the grace to love them. As a Christian, we are supposed to love everyone. People who say you don't have to like someone to love them are fooling themselves. God will help you love them so just seek him! That's the one thing that is to be depended on!

Ask God to help you love them like he would. Yeah I know it's alot easier said than done but try to rely on his strength and not your own. Good luck I've been there a few times and it's tough.

Just avoid them as much as humanly possible for minimal exposure. Try to be civil on those days when you must interact, either professionally or personally.
