prom is march 30th. i have a boyfriend, but he hasnt asked me yet. should i be worried?...my friends say its expected of me to just go with him, but i really want to be asked to prom by him...am i being picky?...is it expected for him to ask, or for me to just go?its only a junior prom, and im thinking about sitting it out because i think he isnt going to ask... he hasnt mentioned anything about it (wanting to go)..what should i do?wait it out? or just go?

ask him you silly goose! and please go to to your Junior Prom...because if your senior prom turns out not to be special at least you can have another prom to look back on with good thoughts...besides I think people have a better time at junior prom anyway.

Normally guys tend to put everything off to the last minute. He probably is expecting it to be known that you are going with him, or he's trying to avoid the subject. I guess it depends on how long yall have been going out. If you really want your answer, dont wait for it, make a casual conversation about what his intentions were for prom, so you can get started looking for your dress and stuff. Cause us girls know stuff like that takes time. ;) Good luck, i hope you get the answer you r lookin for.

He probably hasn't thought about it. Seriously, it's barely half way through February and guys don't like thinking into the future much. (no offense, I'm a guy myself.) If you really want him to ask you soon, bring up a few times. "You know, the prom dance is coming up soon." or "Wow, did you realize how close the prom dance is coming." Don't worry, it'll all work out.

I know that when I was in HS, I didn't realize that a girl would want her options open if I was her bf.
Just make sure that his intentions are on taking you to the prom. Either that or let him know that you don't want to go.
He won't ask you or any other girl until the 18th of March at the earliest.

It sounds like you have expectations about how you want him to behave (asking you to prom) and he has expectations about how he wants you to behave (just going to prom with him). As long as you both have these expectations and refuse to talk to each other about them, you're going to be at a standstill.
There's an easy solution: talk. Just ask him if he is planning on going to prom. He probably has no idea you are waiting for him to ask you and as long as you keep that a secret, you're just setting yourself up for hurt. Just talk to him about it.

I don't think you need to worry. It's just expected that you will be his date since you are already his girlfriend... If you get married do you want him to ask you to be your date for the wedding too? ;) I'm sure he plans on going to the prom with you, don't stress over it, or just ask him if it's really worrying you.

Is it your prom or his prom?
If he isn't in your class at school, it's your prom and you should ask him to go with you. If both of you are in the same class, it doesn't matter which one of you asks--so ask him, already!
If it's his prom and not yours, you are stuck waiting to see if he asks you.

well it is kind of understood that ur bf would be ur prom date. y not bring it up to him? this is 2007, and if u want something go for it. if u want to go to prom with him say "hey we need to cordinate ur tie with my dress" or whatever. and see what he says. he wont want u going by urself cause that means u;ll be on the dancefloor shaking ur butt with someone that isnt him. just handle the situation urself

ask him if he's going. then if he says yes, prettend to say the following as a "joke" (because it should be obvious that the answer is you): "so... who are you going with?".
trust me: i'd get the message. and i went to senior prom last year, so i know what it's like and what you're going through

Well ask him then or don't go at all!! or go by your self!! whatever you do don't worry about it you have Boy friend he knows that he has to go with you talk to him about what he should were and what your dress color is then see what he say's and if he asks about going with you then Say yeah when were you going to ask me huh!!! he his a guy give him a break he ain't a mind reader!!!
