I am currently 26 weeks pregnant with #4. While I know I need a car seat and clothes... I can't for the life in me remember all the stuff I need. I have a swing, bouncy chair, some blankets, and some diapers. I need to do my shopping now before I get put on bedrest ( I have HARD pregnancies). What else am I missing? Help me make my list. Thank you all for your help.

I hate being such a dunce when pregnant!!!

You’re not a dunce, your preggo! I kept telling the hubby that when you get pregnant you loose 1/2 your brain, when you deliver you loose the other 1/2 and it takes a year to grow back LOL.

I used BabyCenter a lot (and still do) here is a link for what to pack for the hospital or birth center:

And here is a link for baby & mom gear: The first six weeks

They make it so much easier. Congratulations and Good Luck

Layette Set:
A "take-me-home" outfit (Look for a set that includes a coverall, jacket, and hat. Make sure these clothes aren't too bulky -- you must be able to strap baby snugly into his car seat, with no interference from clothes, for the ride home from the hospital.)
3 to 8 kimono sets, gowns, or pants-and-shirt sets
4 to 6 rompers
4 to 6 footed coveralls
5 to 7 undershirts (Look for one-piece, long- or short-sleeved bodysuits with snaps at the crotch, so they won't ride up when baby moves around; basic pullover undershirts; or side-snap shirts.)
1 to 3 sweater cardigans
1 snowsuit or winter bunting (although for you a lighter jacket would probably work for a spring or summer baby)
2 to 4 pairs of booties or socks
4 to 6 hats -- a must!
6 to 9 blankets
2 to 5 dozen cloth or disposable diapers (You'll go through 10 to 12 diapers each day during baby's first weeks. Fabric diapers can double as burp cloths.)

Furniture for the Nursery:
Crib
Changing Station with the following:
* Diapers
* Baby Wipes
* Changing Pad and Cover
* Cotton Swabs
* Baby Powder and Rash Ointment
* Undershirts or One Pieces
* Baby Nail Scissors
* Thermometer
* Nasal Aspirator
* Brush or Comb
* Diaper Pail and Refills
* Toy to Entertain Baby
Baby Laundry Hamper
Rocking Chair or Glider
Nightlight
Crib Sheets and Mattress Pads & Covers
Recieving Blankets
Dresser or Armoire
Monitor

And perhaps most importantly... a car seat. Strollers are really useful too, especially for postpartum mommy bonding sessions at the mall!!!
Hope all this helps you figure out where you stand with all the baby buying.

This site is awesome. I just discovered it the other day and remembered it had these lists on it. Check it out - they are printable lists and you can check things off as you go.
