Bag Balm, I baught some for my dog, a beagle who loves being outside, a few weeks ago and her paw pads are really soft now, you can buy it at walmart in the dog secttion in a little green tin for about $8

My vet recommended vaseline which I've been using on one of my dogs. It works quickly and really well. Just be careful not to use it too long because you don't want to soften their pads up too much.

My terrier had the same problem, I used a neosprin ointment that you can buy over the counter in drug stores. Only problem was he liked it and immediately licked it off. I got some none sticky tape called coban (they use this stuff to wrap race horses legs) and wrapped his foot up for most of the day for about a week, and his paw cleard up just great.

mineral oil, i found was best, its safe and wont harm your dog if he licks it, but remember the dog will leave oil marks on your floor so i sugest booties after appling the mineral oil
