Been seeing this guy for 4 months now and always calls me sweet names like baby, honey, sweetie, etc.

Well it's only a bad thing if you want it to be a bad thing. You can basically take this two ways:
first one being- He calls u sweetie, baby, honey etc. because he is so into you that he just enjoys calling you those things because he thinks u like it.
OR.
He calls you sweetie, baby, honey etc. because he is cheating on you and dooesnt wanna get ur names mixed up. (got that off of John Tucker Must Die)
But if him calling you sweetie, baby, honey etc. honestly bothers you, you should just talk to him about it and thats the only way u will get ur "real" answer.

No. We guys use pet names when we feel particularly close to a woman. The time to be concerned is when he starts calling you by your real name more than he uses pet names. I know can be irritating and it seems generic a times (it may be a habit of his) but enjoy it because it may not last long...

Have you checked to make sure he knows your name? If he does, it is just sweet. My boyfriend and I use pet names most of the time. It is pretty common.

I had a guy do that, I thought it was his way of not calling me the wrong name! It wasn't. I just told him that sometimes I liked to hear my name too! He was fine with it.
If it doesn't bother you, I wouldn't bring it up.

No, but if it's getting on your nerves you should talk with him about it. It also depends where he calls you sweet names.

sometimes it can be because he has many woman and he doesnt want to make any mistakes in callin u another name. but it could just mean that he is just an extra sensitive man.
