I was thinking this when i got my kitten. I take it that shes just been taken away from her mum.

I think it would be best to keep her in small room with the light on, make sure the room is warm as well and its got a litter tray and some balnkets in there too. She will meow as this is her first night away from what she would call 'home' but dont keep running back to see her, she will settle much better that way. When you see her in the morning if she slept through the night make sure that you praise her, this way she will know how to behave when the famiely goes to bed.

Good Luck and congrats on your kitten, theyre so adorable

If you want your cat to be super friendly and lovable, you should try to get her to sleep w/ you tonight. The more human contact that you give her, the more friendly she will be as she grows up. But do not force her to sleep there, it will only frighten her. Bring her food/water/ and litter box into your bed room and put her on your bed. If she refuses to sleep there, she will at least stay in the same room because everything that she needs is in there.

A cat will always sleep where she likes, not where you want her to.

I would provide her with a box (don't go to any expense, he/she will be perfectly happy with an old cardboard box) with a comfy towel/blanket, & maybe something with catnip on it. Put the box somewhere warm, where he/she won't be disturbed, and so that she still has access to her litter tray & food (not on top of each other). I wouldn't shut him/her in a room, unless you really don't want her wandering around. Don't worry about leaving a light on - cats see approx 8 times better than us in the dark.

Where are you keeping the cat box? If it is a room you can keep the cat in, have the cat sleep there the first couple nights. Make sure to provide it with food and water and a towel to sleep on.

if you have a basket put a teddy in it they feel secure (as though its thier mother)somewhere warm maybe close to a radiator
But you may find when you go in the room in the morning its behind a chair or found his own sleeping place I started keeping my kitten in the lounge because its more cosy but gradually moved him to the kitchen good luck

sometimes kittens need a clock that tics (an alarm clock-not digital) because the sound is soothing, put it in a box with a sofe blanket and a snip of catnip so they will want to be there! Congrats on your new baby

when i first got my kitten she liked to sleep behind the sofa so I'd say let the kitten choose where to sleep

Beside your bed at night. At daytime somebody must be around her.
If your boss allow that take the kitten to your office.
