That depends on what type of metal it is made from. You have to understand that our stomachs contain acid. Not stron enought to disovle most metals on seconds but if this is a soft metal or this metal contains a carcengen then it may be of some issue. But if this is just tin or iron I won't worry too much. If this is like your tounge ring etc. It's not going to cause any problems. Also does this ring contain any pointy parts etc. That may also be of concern.
