What's with the middleman? And, if you honestly believe you have an answer, letter' rip.. and then ask yourself if it makes any sense.
Some mook just told me I need to study more because I suggested the POSSIBILITY that Jesus (as he has been presented to us) could be construed as an Idol, (GOD between us and GOD). Well, apparently they missed a verse or two.
You see, one of the main cornerstones to the average Christian's argument that Jesus is supposed to harvest all of our souls is that noone but Jesus is pure enough to get into Heaven, well, the fact that Humans are imperfect is not new news. They were well aware of that way back in the Old Testament days. Hell, they say that not only was GOD around when the whole imperfection thing started, but that it was his idea. The Law isn't what gets you into heaven. Obeying it is one of the stipulations for all that wish to recieve GOD's mercy. It's the MERCY that gets us into Heaven. So, where does this whole sacrifice thing come in?

Of course it is. He did it in the Old Testament.
Because that's not the way God set it up.

(Ro 3:21-26)
But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

Mankind needed a blood transfusion to eradicate sin. Justice demanded that sin be punished - the soul that sins it shall die. God sent His Son to take the punishment, pay the penalty so that we would not have to. He is the only one with the right qualifications that would be accepted. That is why there is a "middleman" as you call it. Jesus bridged the gap between a Holy God and sinful man. Only Jesus blood sacrifice could accomplish this and therefore Only Jesus is the way to the Father. God is the one who said, you want to come to me you must come through Jesus. Do you really think that God would send His Son to die for you and then just ignore that sacrifice and say sure come to me anyway you want, ignore my Son, refuse my Son, it's okay by me. A million times "no." Do not presume upon Gods mercy - it is based in the atoning work of Christ.

First, Jesus and God are not the same 'guy'. They are two separate beings. God is the creator of heaven and earth. Humans, animals, vegetation, ...need I go on. And Jesus is his very first creation. His son. Jesus was actually a helper to God when creating the earth and man.
The purpose for the earth was so it could be inhabited by perfect humans. It was to be a paradise filled with those who love God. Adam messed that up (Romans 5:12).
But, through the sacrifice of Jesus, we are able to have our sins forgiven and have the hope of once again living in a paradise earth filled with perfect people who all love God (John 3:16).
I don't know about you, but I like the idea of living on a perfect paradise earth without all the violence and crime going on right now.
And as far as those that go to heaven, there are only going to be 144,000 who have that heavenly hope (Revelation 14:2-5).
Seriously, if you want to really learn more about the Bible and the truth about it, email me. I'll be glad to provide you with as much info as you can handle and any answer to any question you may have. Well, I'll try my best to answer any question anyway!
Hope this helped though!

God, the Father, and his son, Jesus Christ are two distinct individuals. They form two parts of the Godhead, the third being the Holy Ghost.
The law of sacrifice is/was used to signify a "type" or symbol of the sacrifice of the Savior Jesus Christ by atoning for all mankind's sins upon the cross. We too can sacrifice our own wants and desires to serve others, and serve the Lord by keeping his commandments. The world would be a better place if we all did this.

They are separate, so your initial question doesn't make sense.
As to why we need a sacrifice, God is merciful, but He is also just. Mercy cannot rob justice. Justice decrees that we must face the consequences of our imperfection (not be in God's presence, or in otherwords not be able to get into heaven). However, God has provided a savior who made a sacrifice so that justice could be satisfied while still granting us mercy.
It's not a simple concept to explain in a few lines here...but hopefully that made some sense.

Hey, I'm all for that mercy thing - - the quality of mercy is not strained, don't forget that.
I really don't know where this sacrifice thing came in. How the heck did it get in ? I thought all he doors were locked.
May the Great Lord Jehovah bless thy holey back side.

You have missed facts in your rant.
Jesus is 100% God, but He was also 100% man. That matters in the equation. We are still accepting God as Lord, but our saving grace is the blood shed by Christ on the cross. He paid the fine for our sins. We must accept that gift to be saved. Only a man in the line of Adam could attone for the sins committed by Adam.
Harvest our souls? Never heard that one. Imperfection wasn't God's idea. He made everything perfect, but in that perfection and His all-knowingness, there had to be a choice for evil. In order to give us free will, there had to be a choice, and without free will, we'd be robots, so what would be the point? That wouldn't be a perfect world IMO.
Salvation comes when one is covered by the blood of Jesus and God sees His Son instead of our filthy rags. Blood is required as payment for sin. Our blood is imperfect, only the spotless lamb would be acceptable, Jesus. That is His grace extended to us, He provided a way for us to be reunited with the Father, if only we will accept it. God's love is amazing!

There isn't a middle man. God is a trinity, but they are one person. God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Ghost. We trust Jesus, because that is the form that God the Son took when he came to earth. We won't fully understand it until we get to Heaven.

u have to accept that the sacrifice for ur sin was made once and for all by Jesus and the corruption inherent in man by a sinful act of adam was undone by a sacrifice of one that had not sinned ... we are 3 fold beings and so is God ... He is Spirit soul and body and so are we ... Jesus is the body part of God ... the physical ...

In the OT you will see that in order to remove sin, there needed to be a blood sacrifice (usually a male goat, one year old with nothing wrong with it.)
Jesus was our blood sacrifice because he was sin-less. He atoned for all sins.
Jesus is God in the flesh.
