its hot and sexy, and if you have a sexy middriff, go for it. if you don't, then please don't...there's nothing worse than a woman who thinks she's got a hot, flat belly, but doesn't...there is no more chance of infection than an ear, an eyebrow, or anywhere else.

Jessica Alba's bellybutton is pierced, and it's totally hot. Go for it. Ears get infected all the time, too. The infections are usually easy to take care of.

Well of course you can get infection if you dont know how to take care of this piercing appropriately, and also piercing your belly button as you called it is just a waste of time because there is no beauty in that, it dont enhance a single thing it is like if you put a dozen earring in one ear it dont makes a difference if it was only one, so therefore dont take the chance.

Piercing is SO over. It's nasty and slu**y. Yes, it can and most do get infected and it's really hard to get it to go away and most have to just take the piercing out and let it heal.
Don't bother. Pierce your ears instead.

They can get infected because it is in such a strange place. I have known people who have had belly button rings and they look fine. I guess it's all boils down to whether you want to take that chance.

I say get it. I have always wanted to but I am older and have to show some restraint around my kids. I think it looks sexy and as long as you keep it clean, you should not have a problem. I hope you get it down and good luck!

Yeah, but when you get older you wont want to have a hole in your belly button.
One of my friends had it done and it got caught on something and her ring came out, but it ripped through her skin as it did so. It was not nice.
But, your choice. You've got to live with it.

I've heard the same. Try wearing clip-ons or magnetic ones and see how you like it. If you do get it done, maybe you should wait for weather where you don't have to cover it all day every day.
