how do I text a guy without getting on his nerves?

I like this guy. Sometimes he texts sometimes he dont. I need him to open up with me.
What can I say? we have went through hey hi whats up for 3 weeks. And going no where

try actually talking as opposed to texting...texting is impersonal and to some people annoying.

say "hey my love" and if he goes "WHAT?!?!" then say "just kidding! gosh!" and if hes like "hey baby" then you'll know he likes you.
