You can get its food and bowl, go outside near the tree and shake the food in the bag. See if pouring the food into the bowl gets the cat's attention and gets it out of the tree. You could also try a can of tuna. Just set it on the ground near the tree and try to "lure" it down. You can even leave it and then go inside for a few minutes. The smell should get the cat to come down and at least check the tuna out.

Patience, place food in the first nook of the tree & go inside. The more you chase after it the farther up the tree it'll go. Cat appear stupid sometimes but they aren't. If you're down at the bottom of the tree stressing out, the cat feels it.
