1. Put a recorder on your phone (check legality in your state).
2. Carry a mini-recorder you can trigger any time he talks to you personally (or on your cell phone).
3. Keep a log of every appearance, every call.
4. Buy or borrow a small digital camera that puts the date & time on each picture. Every time you see him or his car, get a picture.

When you have enough evidence, see if the police will help. Otherwise you may need to see a lawyer (or in some places just the court clerk) about getting a restraining order.

Well, the good news is on this one is so far you've done the right thing by contacting the police. No nobody wants or deserves to live in fear. Be sure to document EVERYTHING that happens, has happened or been said, keep dates and possible times. The police also have their records that they keep. If he's THAT unstable, something or someone somewhere is going to happen to show him he needs to stop or get some kind of help. Thankfully NOTHING lasts forever. I'm dealing with that myself, my boyfriend's exgirlfriend won't leave him alone or any of his friends etc...the police have gotten involved and so far that's helped. But the one who does the stalking has limited choices. They either wind up in jail; move away or just go away either willingingly or not. I've kept lots of documentation including legal documentation, and trust me, things don't look good for this person =) So good look and keep me posted!

Wow, one thing you can do is always follow up with a restraining order and if you already have one, following up with the police with this information will make it look even better on paper and by law that you guys took all of the necessary "Lawful" actions. If anything ever did come up!.

Other than that get a gaurd dog, an alarm and/or take self defense classes.

I hope that this information is helpful to you!!

Take care & Be safe!!

No Father or Brother to go after the creep? This is what's wrong with our society today. A restraining order will do squat. Hundreds of women are killed by nut cases like this every year who have restraining orders. Get one anyway at least the cops can arrest him then. Document everything he does. Take photos if you see his car. SUE him in civil court.

Confront him with a guy around.
Maybe even pay somebody to harm him.
yeah that would probably be the best thing to do.
