My question was not to conservative atheists. I understand that there is no one group that is either liberal or conservative. I never said that all atheists were liberal. If you are not liberal, dont answer.

The purpose of my question was to see if you hated conservatives or religious people more. I am happy to see that most wouldn't sell out their ideals because someone believes in God.

II couldn't possibly say given only that information, I would need to know if they have experience, what their platform is, prior voting record etc, I don't vote for people based only on their religious views.
I should add Matt, that someone asked the reverse (would christians vote for an athiest) earlier and most of the christians replied that they would never vote for an atheist.

Because Palin has not really done anything that appealing to make me, or many other think she's up for Presidency She'd be defending herself way to much. Not sure about Bachman. Anyways, it's a stereotype, just like no Christian would support Barney frank.

atheist conservative
a religious liberal is still going to be bound by those religious laws regarding same-sex marriage, stem cell research , holy war, etc.
besides, all atheists are not liberals. i'm an economic conservative and a social liberal.

It would depend on in which areas they're liberal or conservative. I would WANT to vote for the atheist, I admit.

A religious liberal, because they would presumably understand that belief is personal and democracy is inclusive.
Like, for example, Rev. Barry Lynn.

A religious liberal. Beliefs mean nothing to me. All i care about is how they are going to vote, and what record they have. I care about how effective they've been and would be as leaders.

I'd support the person whose views on social and financial issues best mirrored my own. Religious belief alone is not defining criteria for my vote.
