I have been a dog owner for many years. I normally just let the dog pick out the name. I say several names that I think will fit. When the puppy seems to acknowledge one, that is it. Now, don't select one that won't grow with them (Ex. jabber because they make noise a lot). It should also be a name that you can easily use. I also give them middle names-- Once they are a part of the family, they are ours forever. It is a big and lifetime commitment.

Go to babynames.com or a similar website. You can usually do a search by meaning. Type in "brown" and see what comes up. You'll get names with brown in the meaning from different countries.

is it a boy or a girl. I have two females named Abbey and Boo.
Boo could go for boy or girl. Brownie is a cute one, but if you go on to a yahoo search and type in popular dog names or somthing like that you can get a huge list of cute names!

Name it Rori or Riley. I named my dog Duke. You could name it Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swann, or Will Turner if you like Pirates of the Carribean. We named our kittens after a book I read. There names were Lil, Devin, Bree (Briana), Mikkel. Or you can name them after what you like to do.

well what about Lucky or Skippy it would help if you had said if it was a boy or girl dog.
I know a beautiful lab that was trained to help the blind and they called him max I hope your puppy will grow up and be happy (there's a name) and healthy and loved, what ever you name it.

this is impossible, the first thing or the first couple thoughts about you're dog, aka first impression, are the best ideas for a name. if if its off the wall names and so forth........it adds more of a connection that way...
