I have no religion, other than trying to live a good life, love my kids, and try not to make the world any worse than when I found it.
That being said, I do believe there is more after this life, just not in a religion defined way.

Here is my answer.
Identifying marks of true religion
The true religion advocates worship of only the one true God, Jehovah. (Deuteronomy 4:35; John 17:3
An important part of worship that is pleasing to God is faith in his Son, Jesus Christ. (John 3:36; Acts 4:12) This does not mean simply believing that he lived or that he was an outstanding person. It includes appreciation of what the Bible teaches regarding the value of the sacrifice of Jesus’ perfect human life and recognition of his position today as heavenly King. (Psalm 2:6-8; John 3:16; Revelation 12:10
True worship is not tainted by involvement in politics and worldly conflicts. (James 1:27) Why not? Because Jesus said regarding his followers: “They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.” (John 17:16) Jesus did not meddle in politics, and he restrained his followers from resorting to carnal weapons. (Matthew 26:52
The true religion teaches and practices unselfish love. (John 13:35; 1 John 3:10-12) Such love is not just spoken about in sermons. It actually draws together in genuine brotherhood people of all races, all economic groups, all languages, all nations. (Revelation 7:9, 10) It sets true Christians apart from the world around them
The true religion advocates God’s Kingdom as the lasting solution to the problems of humankind. (Daniel 2:44; 7:13, 14; 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:4, 5) Do any of Christendom’s churches do that? When is the last time that you heard a clergyman explain God’s Kingdom and what the Scriptures show that it will accomplish? Does the organization to which you belong encourage you to talk to others about God’s Kingdom, and if so, does the membership as a whole share in doing it? Jesus did such witnessing; his early disciples did. You too can have the privilege of sharing in this activity. It is the most important work being done on the face of the earth today.—Matthew 24:14.
Though there are thousands of religions, the Bible quickly helps us to cut through the confusion in order to identify the true one. But we need to do more than identify it. It is vital that we practice it. What this involves will be considered at greater length in our next article.
My religion adheres to these scriptures.

I'm an agnostic. Basically, by "agnostic" I mean someone who does not know for certain whether there is a deity, or a great unity of all things and people, but continues to search.
I have studied the Bible in Greek and Latin as well as several English versions, and have studied comparative religions.
Most recently I have been exploring the neurobiology of belief through the very enlightening works of Andrew Newberg, MD.

Well, I'm Muslim.
I was a Muslim most of my life because my family is Muslim, and Ive received the necessary education to understand my religious history, understand God, etc.
Ive read a lot of different view points. Love Sufi poetry, have meditated like yogis do and I have a 3rd degree Reiki classification.
Whatever I do, I try not to label myself or anyone else tho. I label behaviors and actions, but not people. I believe its an attempt to simplify something so diverse and beautiful.
As to why I chose to be a Muslim now as an adult, to me, Islam is the only solution for a person who wants to direct their life around the Source of life: God. And not around things that aren't gonna last forever, myself, my money, my loved ones etc. and then be disappointed that they didnt last.
My core feels happy belonging to the originator and owner of All.

I'm Hindu. I'm over 20, but I'll still say that it is primarily due to my parents being Hindu. However, I have grappled with the ideas of Hinduism and researched other faiths (especially Buddhism). I found that, for me, Hinduism is the most complete especially spiritually. Thus far, I have also not found any contradictions that were not able to be explained.

I practice the same religion as that practiced by the first century disciples. I have thoroughly researched my religion using the Bible and other sources as well. I believe what I believe because, after thorough study and research, I have come to learn that it is the truth and the closest thing to what the first century Christians practiced.

Religion is a title. All it does is try to categorize something. I go to a baptist church, but I am not baptist.
I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the things I have done against God. For all my lying, hating, cheating.....everything.
So because I except this free gift of forgiveness from God, through His son Jesus, I guess that makes me a Christian. Call me what you want.........what ever religion you want to call me. Bottom line, I am going to heaven.
Oh and by the way. There is one way and one way only to God. Make sure you are on the right path.
Check out the book, "Case for Christ". It was written by someone who was trying to disprove the bible and Christianity. By the end of the book the author had realized that he had actually proved it to be true. He used books other than the bible.
The easiest way to find the "right" religion, is to close your eyes and pray to God. I am not saying the Christian God, just God.
Pray.........God, if your out there, will you show yourself to me.
And I promise, hold me to it, he will show you.

I'm a member of the worldwide Christian society of people who actively bear witness regarding the true God (psalm 83:18) and his purposes affecting mankind. We base our beliefs solely on the Bible. I believe there is only one true God (psalms 83:18) I believe that Jesus is the son of God and not part of a trinity. I believe that Gods Kingdom is the only hope for mankind

I don't belong to any religion...I am simply spiritual. Direct-path, nondual teachings, like in Zen Buddhism, Advaita Vedanta, and Jnana yoga, resonate with me. So I enjoy reading about it.
I have found no religion is totally right, nor wrong...so I refuse to join a specific religion. Besides, normal worship (church) is not my thing...I am solitary in my devotion.

Check my bio and you will see that I have researched my religion. The Bible is key to my religion and I am sorry you consider it not worthy of mentioning. I am a Christian because I don't see any other way for Salvation but through Jesus Christ.
