You need to put it in an airtight container and store it in the fridge. When you reheat it, add a little milk to make it creamy again.

Try covering it with plastic wrap so that the plastic actually touches and seals the entire top of the macaroni and cheese. The air (even inside the pot under the lid) is what makes it dry out. Also, if it is the mac & cheese out of the box, try not actually mixing it up until right before you serve it. You can always warm up the noodles by running them under HOT water in a strainer. But try the plastic wrap. It works on most food when you cover it that way. I even cover things that way inside of Tupperware containers before I put the lids on them.

That's a tough one: as the macaroni cools, it absorbs as much moisture until it reaches a saturation point, and the moisture in the macaroni in turn activates the gluten in the wheat (durum semolina) and also, as the cheese cools, it re-solidifies, and makes the dish "dry out". An airtight food storage container (think Tupperware or Rubbermaid) will greatly help, and don't try and reheat it on the stove in a pan, microwave it on 50% power for a minute and stir, and continue this process till it's heated to your liking....

Prepare it as you would normally, then just before serving, reheat (slowly) with a little butter and additional milk. Some times, if there are a few too many noodles, there doesn't seem to be enough cheese to go around.
Good luck!

Put plastic directly onto the food itself, not the container, make sense?
Next, when you reheat it, whether in the microwave or stovetop or oven, add a bit of milk to it, stir well and then reheat.

keep it airtight, and make sure that when you re-heat it, you make it nice and hot to get those molocules moving. Try adding a small hint of milk too it and giving it a good mix!

When you drain you macaroni, leave some of the water in there. It will be runny to start with but it will thicken up.
