I think it is a matter of perspective. Some men truly appreciate complex women, but may find it difficult to communicate at times to these women.
I guess you can also view it as too much of a good thing. Complicated or complexity 24/7 can be tough...especially if the man feels the woman is being purposely evasive to letting the man try to understand her.

What men "always" say something like that? If I want complex, I'll do a crossword puzzle.
My favorite g/fs have been "what you see is what you get". One I liked a lot was always in trouble because she had no filter between her brain and her mouth!
If you need to behave in some way where you're out of your comfort zone, you're trying to attract the wrong guy. Hold out for a guy who likes who you are all the time, not when you twist yourself into a pretzel.

Complex and complicated means they play games and never tell you what they really want or whats bugging them and I hate that.

Men are competitive...they like a good challenge...its when you give them too much of a challenge that they get confused!!! Oh and most men know what a woman wants they just play dumb to piss us off!!!!

Because they want to be taken care of.. It is the MOM thing.. They want us to taken care of them like there mother did or did not.. But when we want something in return it is complicated and they can not explain why..

i dont know who you are talking to, but the simpler the woman the better, i just want her to spread her legs and shut up, anything that comes out of her mouth is bound to be gibberish anyway
