Why Do Women Love Flowers?

What is it about receiving flowers from your lover that makes you feel joy and pleasure. Why do women love flowers? What are most womens favorite flowers to receive and why?

Have you ever stopped to smell the flowers? Have you really looked at flowers? Both men and women loved to give and receive flowers until the 1900s, when men lost their rights to enjoy the world. Men used to be just as into flowers as women are today until somehow receiving flowers became effeminate, along with many other previously unisex enjoyments.

Once you receive flowers from a girl, you will understand why women love getting flowers. And don't believe you won't. I heard on the radio on Valentines Day that the deliveries were going to almost as many men this year as women.

The flowers that women love to get depend on the woman. My wife loves roses, but she loves wild flowers too.

Because flowers are pretty and girlies like the pretty things. I think women like receiving them from their lover because it is a simple and symbolic, thoughtful gift. At least that's how it started out. Now it seems expected on special occasions and way overrated. My honey surprises me now and then with a single rose, just to say I love you. I'm not particularly fond of roses, but it is a very nice and touching gesture. He never gets me flowers on V-Day or B-Day...I much prefer it that way. I'd rather have that one rose 12 times a year than a dozen roses one day a year!!

Women like flowers because they are often quite beautiful. Some smell nice, some taste good- although I don't recommend that people go around eating them as some are toxic... Anyways, I tihnk that they like them because flowers are somewhat of a luxury item. Since most flowers die fairly quickly, it shows that the partner has disposable income- enough to spend money on plant genitals. Favorite flowers are the common flower shop ones- roses, tulips, carnations etc...

flowers are beautiful and have good connotations with them. For example, roses are tied to romance and love, daisies to youth and happiness, lilies to beauty and marriage, etc. Note: connotations are subject to the individuals, but usually, they're good (except for flowers at a funeral or graveyard).
Also, flowers are alive and need to be taken care of. When we receive them, we don't just leave them anywhere like other gifts we receive. With flowers, we put them in vases and water them and make sure them get sunlight. It's like having a short-term quasi-pet.
My favorite are lilies. Roses are nice, but they can become cliche. I like getting surprised with flowers on a random occasion. On anniversaries and holidays, flowers are expected, but I think the surprise of getting flowers on regular days adds to the joy of receiving them.

My favorite is always roses. I like a deep red but different women like different colors. But if you go for a deep rich color you can't lose.

I think that's a myth. It's kinda fun to get flowers at work cause it makes your co-workers jealous but otherwise, I don't get excited over flowers. I mean they're nice but they die in a few days.
