Atheists are not necessarily liberals. Yes I am an atheist, and a social liberal, but I am an economic conservative. Many atheists are socially and economically conservative.
I despise when people assume an must be liberal all the way just because s/he don't believe in the Xian god.

The proof and evidence is all around you and everywhere, undeniable proof, and indisputable visible evidence. It is called creation and life. Unless your are blind, deaf, and senseless. You can see, smell, taste, hear, feel, and examine the evidence.

We live on a planet teeming with life. Plant life with approximately 250,000 species, animal life with over a million species. Scientists are learning just how complex life is. So complex that it requires design. The evidence of design requires a designer. Scientists are also learning the conditions for life; just how perfect conditions here on planet Earth are to support all this life.

The human brain, it absorbs forty megabytes per second of data while awake. That is two terabytes of data a day. At night, it sorts and stores that data through the creation of new chemical bonds and synaptic connectors.

Sure, right, this all just happened and evolved. This sort of thinking takes considerable faith, exponentially more faith than believing in a creator.

Even though it has been mentioned on here before - I think - I would like to educate everyone on the fact that we are living in the last days. The end of this wicked world is nearing!
You can see all the things going on around are all things that were foretold by Jesus at Matthew 24:3-14.
Today, people have no sense of religion. They don't take the Bible seriously, and they don't put their complete faith in God and in Jesus. It's not enough to just worship one, but we must worship both God and Jesus. (John 17:3)
We need to have a sense of urgency, and a desire to do the will of God during these critical times.(2 Timothy 3:1-5)

the difference between ghosts and spirit
and psychics and mediums
ghosts are not a consious energy , they are residual ... meaning they are a lingering energy ... that energy is usually held in a place where a great event has happened or repeated so that it creates an impact on the area ... that energy is usually replaced as more energy is put into a place
ghosts are usually seen by more than one person and can be photographed and captured
spirit is conscious energy , it is the part of us that live on after death , it can communicate , it has been studied by members of the SPR and survivalafterdeath.org
spirit usually come on a telepathic link via a medium but on occasion can manifest through a physical medium for all to see
they provide evidence
and are not .. i repeat not demons
a medium is someone who communicates with spirit
all mediums are psychic
but not all psychics are mediums

That all people bleed (actually the title of my latest song).
By that, I mean that everyone has feelings - believers, non-believers, dogs, Martians, whatever.
If someone really feels that they have found spiritual peace in a belief system, why would that peace not be sufficient to prevent them from being aggressive or rude to someone else?
Love is love - no matter who you "learn" it from.
Have a measure of sympathy for the next guy - unless he just proves himself unworthy of it.
I don't care if you're Christian, Catholic, Hindu, Atheist, or whatever. Sit the hell down and zip it. If you're at peace, then be at freakin' peace and spread a bit of it around instead of hammering on others all the time.
Of course, I have to remember where I am; not in Kansas, anymore...

Sorry, but it is those things that we have seen on here a millions times that others need to learn.
One recurring point that theists would be wise to learn is what the definition of "theory" means when applied to a scientific concept.

The Theology of Creation.
The Genesis 1 & 2 account is more then just an ancient story of how the world came about. In fact it is primarily a story about WHO God is.
Secondly, that there is such a thing as an intellegent Christian.

That 'the answer' has not been discovered for thousands of years and that it's not a choice between a-theism and creationism. There are a lot of different ideas. AND, they are not evil...that is just....ignorant.
Personally, I think the idea of a single deity being a creator is unrealistic, compared to what everyone is exposed to in life.
