ive just had my tooth extracted today and been given a partial denture for 1 month until my implant is ready.

question though, the denture doesn't be inline with my other natural front teeth and it is hanging slight lower.

i'm not sure if this is because of swelling still from my open wound where ive just had my tooth extracted but would appricate some advice from anyone who knows about these things, thanks.

Its probably just the swelling from the extraction. It should settle in a few days. The extraction site will shrink quite rapidly and the denture may even feel a little loose after a while. But people tend not to notice things like this unless you point it out. My family certainly didnt! Its only for a month, so hang in there! Salt water mouth washes should prevent any infection and the dentist can shave down any really uncomfortable parts of the plate.

It is probably just the swelling and when that goes down it will be fine.you are just self conscious about it right now...♥
