My birthmark is white, white, white. It doesn't tan, it burns. There just isn't any pigment in the skin making up the birthmark. I thought I'd cover it with a tattoo. Now my question is, will the ink hold or "fall out" of the tattoo? Any thoughts, ideas. I need a serious, informed answer. Thanks.

I believe it would hold, mine did (done over a small scar). However, speaking to the person who would do your tattoo would be ideal.

Many experts agree you should never tattoo over large freckles or birthmarks, as it can potentially lead to melanoma (a form of skin cancer).
I'd be wary and/or consider consulting a dermatologist.

Dont worry about it, the tattoo has its own pigment. IT WILL HOLD! lol.. So just go get it done, and if u need to you can always get a touch up on it :) good luck

I would think it would stay.
You might searching the web to see if you can pull up anything on it.
Also you could ask your artist. They should have a pretty good idea about it.
Hopefully someone else on here will have a direct answer for you.

last week i was in for a backpiece consultation with a world-class tattoo artist. about a fourth of my back in white splotches. i was told right away, "that no big deal. not a problem at all..." as he looked over my back.
