Which culture are you seeking justification to hate ? Is hatred itself a sign of ignorance when it is directed at another human being? Ignorance is simply a lack of knowledge. People attain the right to be called ignorant by speaking on things that they have no knowledge of. Intolerance is the refusal to accept those different than you only because they are different. If you do these things you are these things. If you do not, you are not.

You are not ignorant about the culture but you are intolerant and your intolerance may be a sign of ignorance about a higher morality.

In general, though, hate is bad. Even if you hate something for which almost everyone shows intolerance. As someone once said, love your enemies.

Yes, I've done this with Egyptian culture and history. I love Egypt and Egyptology, and am interested in Egyptian daily life as well, not just in ancient Egypt.

I used to be prejudiced against Muslims and Middle Easterners, which I'm so not proud of. However, that has changed drastically, I did a 180. Now, I have a deep love and appreciation for Islam, and I like everyone, no matter where they're from. Besides, the Middle East was created by God, so therefore it is good.

I've been to Egypt and will go again later this year. I'm even involved romantically with a lovely Egyptian Muslim man. I will also go to Haifa, Israel to complete the Baha'i Pilgrimage. (It's like hajj for Baha'is.) I've already registered, and look forward to it so much!

I began my interest in Egypt BEFORE meeting my guy, it was a passion I had developed on my own. It started with my discover of Amr Diab back in 2000. He is a well-known Egyptian pop singer. This fascination grew from that point on.

Prejudiced? No, no longer, the prejudice died years ago. I have a deep appreciation for Middle Easterners and all people, really. Same with Baha'is and Muslims, I love these people. They have been VERY GOOD to me.

No. I do not like to use the word hate it is very strong, I would say dislike. Not ignorant or intolerant. If one studied a culture and understood it they may have good reasons to dislike the culture, what if it was Cannibalism, or Nazism?

the definition of ignorant is lacking knowledge or comprehension of the thing specified. So someone who has the knowledge and hates it is intolerant. Ignorance basically means not knowing.. Hence the phrase " ignorance is bliss "

Ignorance means not knowing about something. So if you KNOW about, READ about and UNDERSTAND something, you are not ignorant about it.

If you hate something, but allow it, you are tolerant.

You can call someone "ignorant" if you know that there are facts about something that they don't know.

Sometimes intolerance of something comes about from ignorance of what it really is. Sometimes intolerance of something comes about from actually knowing what it is.

Some people don't want any (insert stereotyped group here) living near them because they don't know what those people are really like. I don't want any gang members living near me because I DO know what they're like.

Ignorant is not stupid. Ignorance is a lack of knowledge, stupidity is a lack of intelligence. Intolerance is a lack of acceptance.

I would consider anyone who hates intolerant regardless of their knowledge level.

I would avoid calling someone ignorant as it is often mistaken for calling someone stupid. Instead I would imply they lacked knowledge, understanding or tolerance.

No. You just hate it, where is the ignorance? Where is the intolerance? Just because you hate something doesn't mean that you're ignorant. It's actually IGNORANT to consider it ignorant.

I don't like the color brown. Am I intolerant?

wtf? don't waste your points on these kind of questions

maybe not ignorant, but intolerant definitely. But if you really understand a culture you can't hate it, you can disagree with it, but not hate it. There is not justification for hate.

No, I have a lot of knowledge about communism, and I dont like it. Some things are just wrong. Some people do claim to have knowledge of good things and call them bad. That is ignorance. I guess knowledge is disputable.
