Feb. 16th will be 10 years since he passed away and i would like to get a tattoo in memory of him. I need a meaningful quote or saying to go along with his name.

You might go to google and yahoo and look up inspirational father and son poems.
Read through those and see if you can find a verse in one that really hits home with you.
Its hard to tell you off the bat what will be good for you, because only you can find that.
Good luck with your search and your tattoo.
Sorry for your loss.

Maybe something that helps YOU remember your dad. That's not something that anyone on this is going to be able to tell you. I think that the idea is really nice but it shouldn't matter if other random people know what your tattoo means and the specialness of it. Best of luck and maybe try to think about what YOU remember him for...that way, the tattoo will have even more meaning for you....

I'm 18 in a few days, I'm getting a tatto in memory of: My brother, My Namesake Lennon (He died before I was born, he was driving my dads mustang because he had a date and he had a crappy car, he crashed it and died), My sisters best friend who was almost like my little sister & for my fiance's mother who hasn't long left (Poor thing), because she's had cancer for 6 years and it's now terminal. I'm getting this: gone, but not forgotten above their names in Latin or something! Let it be would be good. Or do you know anything he always used to say?

Nearly else who posted here has some good advice. I don't think I could top what they've already said except to add that if your mom is still alive and if they never got divorced and had a pretty good relationship then you could talk to your mom and ask her to tell you some things that your dad liked that you might not know about.

So Maybe get your dads fav song, movie, maybe find a book he really liked and take a quote from it I'd find something HE really loved and quote something from it..hope that helps!

Did your dad have any sayings he used alot? A nickname he had? That would be my first thought to use.
Make it something personal that will remind you of your dad, even if it's just something like his initials or even your family name.

It all depends, just think about the things he did and liked and also maybe think of somethings that he said a lot

What was his name? If he ever had a phrase he said a lot, or if he told you anything that helped you out, you could get that done.
