Hiya, Just leave him there, it must be warm on the top of your fridge, just move his tail out of the way. He will most probably find somewhere else to sleep soon.

There's two reasons why he likes it: it's warm and it's up high, so he feels safe up there. If you don't mind, let him be. It's a good cat place.

Mine used to sleep in that little cupboard above the fridge, she could open the door. Now she's old and it's too much bother.

I see no harm as long as you do remember to lift his tail out of the way. The top pf te fridge is your kitty's "falveor of the month" sleeping place and perhaps that will change next month. My kitties switch and change favorite napping spots periodically. Just make sure that there is nothing dangerous nearby.

I've got one who's done it every night of his 16 years of life...with ME as the person he's brain sucking from. My sig. other calls him my 'cat hat'. The other 4 don't do that. The head cats like the feel of their 'cat mom' I figure, like the soft pillow and sleeping curled with something warm. If you don't get a sore neck from it or he doesn't push you off the pillow to hog it all, it's fine. Not all that weird but fine.

I had a cat that sleep on top of my cabinets it was the same height as my fridge. When I was on vacation for the weekend he jumped off and hurt his spine. I had to put him a sleep after spending $3,000 trying to save him. So I would suggest you try and break you're cat from that.

Both of my cats love to sleep on top of my fridge as well, it's not really a problem they just like it. I wouldn't stop him, just watch out for him when you open and close the fridgerator.

Guess it's better than inside the fridge!!! *LOL*

My cat has got the habit on lying across my radiater in my bedroom. I walked into the room last night in the dark, didn't see her and trod on her. Poor cat.

trouble is they seem to like the most unusual of places.

i agree with lizzy on ur previous answers, its simply because it high and warm, and if he isn't being a nuisance then let him stay there. We have 14 cats and a fridge and freezer next to each other, and they always fight over those sleeping spots, and if one stands up to stretch, then another will sneak in and lie down.

its nothing to worry about...as long as hes happy and your happy

Every cat I have ever had loved to sleep on top of the frig...just be careful when you open the door. You don't want him to fall...:)))

My cat, Alex does the same thing too! Most cats like to perch on high places (heat rises). If heès your little buddy just go along with it.
