...how long do you usually wait before you have sex? Just wondering what the standard is for most people!! (serious relationships, not one night stands or casual sex)

there are so many factors...
Depends on how much you like the person.. how often you see them.. if there's a future in this relationship..

You should wait long enough that you don't feel guilty about it..

The standard should be to be married before you have sex. Sex is not something to be played with or thrown around. God created and purposed sex to be shared between a husband and a wife no other. Thats my standard and feedback.

I don't know that I have a set time frame but it's definately not on the first few dates. I guess once I have resolved in my mind that it is a long-term relationship. I absolutely hate guys that are just out for sex so I try really hard to not find myself in that situation.

Well, I would try and hold out for as long as you can. Sex, is much better if you prolong the anticipation. Plus, if you want your guy to respect you then you should definitely wait. I say give it at least a few months or longer.

The same as the people above me have said: When they're both ready.

In a serious relationship you deeply care for each other and respect one another most importantly, that's why you wait until it's the right time for both.

wait until you're married. Or, at the very least, wait until you have an engagement ring on your finger with a wedding date set. That's what I call a serious relationship-- anything less than that isn't serious.

The normal rule uo court for a year, then get engage, then get married. The sex is left to you to give or take and can happen on the first day is you are a **** or after ayear if you are a decent person.

Usually my serious relationships spawn from sex, so usually the sex is during the dating stage, then the relationship begins.
