actually bibles are fairly cheap compared to the cost of paper, printing, labor, etc. They were selling complete Bibles for $1.00 not long ago (we bought several boxes to give away). And you can often get them free.
btw Jibba - tithes is 10% not 15 and that "cost" is much less than the government demands from you.

The publisher gets the money hun...it does not go to a church and certainly not to God. One reason some are expensive is because of the leather covers and the type of paper used. But...there are lots you can get free too. You do not even have to convert to get one.

Printing Bibles costs money, so in order to make a living they have to charge for them. Nothing wrong with making money.

God gets none of it. It's all big business. Want to be a multi-millionaire? Start a religion! That's what L.Ron Hubbard did. Look how much they make.

Everything is God's we will be judged by what we do with it! Do we use it to further His Kingdom? Or do we use it for our sinful nature?
