why is there a shaped kalasam [in south atleast] made of metal atop/near the karmpagraham or sanctum sanctorium?

That is one of the reasons I call Hindu religion a religion marred by superstitions. It is really bad. But most hindus take pride in these silly things. God should enter our hearts and not our temples from all the directions. If you go to the temple for finding God you are misguided. I also visit temples because I have been misguided by my parents. I know there is no peace in temples. It is only a picnic spot for me.
