It seems that you only hear about cases of autistic boys and not girls- are girls ever born with autism?

No because even though autism affects more boys then girls, girls can be autistic as well.

Autism does happen more often in boys, but it occurs across gender and racial boundaries.

The statistic lingers between 25% and 33% of the cases of autism being girls. The reason for this may be due to an inherent proclivity for girls to develop linguistic capabilities that allow most of them to compensate, whereas the male brainwiring is more driven to specialisation and abstract skill, limiting their verbal/communicative development if they have any impairments to it.

It's more common in boys but girls are born autistic too.

No both boys and girls can be autistic
However there is more chances for boys to be autistic
Their brain is slightly bigger so it has more chance of been damage.
Genetic conditions are 50% more like to effect boys then girls
How ever no one know what cause autistic
May wheat allergies is linked to some types

both genders can be autistic. there is even adult autism.
