I get up each morning about 7:45 am and get dressed for work as well as getting my 3 year old ready for school. I'm at work by 9pm and home by like 6:30, 7pm each night. I make dinner, give the kids a bath, and by then, I'm exausted. I feel so tired! I go to bed by 10pm each night. That's like 9 hours of sleep each night and I still wake up tired! I'm anemic and am supposed to be taking iron pills, but don't because I mainly forget them. Am I getting too much sleep or is my lack of iron wearing me down?? Any suggestions and opinions are always appreciated!

There is a such thing as too much sleep, but i hardly think that's your problem. I'd say start taking the iron pills and see if that doesn't help a lot. If you always forget about them try putting them in an pbvious place where you will see them often and try writing yourself a note and putting on your bathroom mirror so you will see it and remember to take them. You could also set an alarm like a reminder on your phone or something and that way it will alert you everytime you are supposed to take the pills. You'll eventually get into the habit of doing it. I definately think your exhaustion is due to the lack of iron rather than too much sleep.

You should take your iron pills. My iron got low while I was pregnant and I was tired all the time. When I took them I felt better. But I find that I am more tired if I get too much sleep. Most of the time I have more energy if I just sleep 6 hours or so.

You are suppose to take your iron pills.......and you mainly forget them. You better start remembering if you don't want any health problems. This is why you are so tired. My schedule is very much like yours. And I am not all slugged out all day. cut down on all those chores or have your husband or bf help you out. Because doing all that you do is going to make you exhausted at the end of a day.

I think you answered your own question when you stated you were supposed to be taking iron supplements. Of course, if you are anemic you will be tired. Take your pills and stay up until the eleven oclock news is over, you should be okay with that.
