When answering or asking questions how many of you are truthful is what you write? Seems there is so much on here that is a lie it is bad cause there are actually some people that need advice and others don't help. Why wouldn't you tell the truth on here nobody knows you and you won't be made fun of. Wished more would be honest.

I'm usually truthful except when people ask questions based on horoscopes like "does a aquarius and scorpio make a good couple" - anyone who believes in horoscopes is stupid and they deserve stupid answers (which they probably believe).
Also, when the question is obviously fake, like this guy asking if hitting his wife was wrong, I give a fake answer.

Not to put a feather in my hat, but I tell the truth so much that I reveal too much sometimes and it comes back to bite me in the a s s. I've never felt a reason to tell a lie. If I actually do something, it's never anything I'd have to hide behind a lie for and am not ashamed of. I agree, with all the dishonesty in the world, sometimes its hard to trust that someone is telling the truth. Especially when you're like me and won't lie to begin with, you expect everyone else to do the same. People tend to lie about the simplist things, leaving you to wonder, if they'll lie about this, are they capable of being trusted and what else have they lied about.

I'm truthful with what I write because I'm not the kind of person to lie because I was hurt because of a liar. Your never gonna be happy with yourself if you go on with the day lieing to someone just to make your conscience a little better. It doesn't work that way. People ask for help because they want the truth and not only are you hurting them when you lie but your also hurting yourself. Just be honest because then you'll get more respect around people and with them. Nobody likes a liar.

I have a great answer! I rarely give all truths to my family, but if friends or strangers ask me things, they do get the full truth. The reasons behind both are because my family is the nosiest and some things are just none of their business, and friends or people who genuninely need advice or help I will offer =) Every piece of advice I've given on here are honest simply because of I've gone through 90% of situations mentioned =) So, ask away!!

Thank you for asking that question because now I have the opportunity to tell someone what this site means to me. I have always wanted to make a difference in someones life by being truthful and honest which really is the only way that you can help someone. I have also seen some of the answers and some people are making jokes instead of honestly helping some one. There are some of us who seriously want to help people on their journey, I for one. Please do not lump every one in the same category.

I always tell the truth and that is exactly one of the reasons that I do. A lot of people asking the questions are just here killing time, but there are plenty of others who are really looking for other peoples opinions with problems that they are having!

I always tell the truth because I only answer questions that I want to. And I only answer the ones that I feel I have a clear opinion on or some life experience in. To me telling the truth is about my conscience and about the fact that I believe I will have to answer to God someday.

This really depends on the question you're asking and the people answering. If I can not be honest I will not answer the question. I can usually tell who's giving me an honest answer or a bogus one. A couple of good signs are their avatar and user name, if their user name is something like "big joker" and their avatar is some weird "thing-a-ma-jig," then they're probably not very reliable.

I certainly tell the truth and I agree with you about others who don't. I mean it is tru that there is no reason to lie on here cause no one knows you so why lie about anything? It is so unreal how people just lie and manipulate the truth so they can see others hurt and I personally just find it to be sad and aggravating. Props to you and your honesty.

To say I've told the truth all the time is a lie. Everyone slips up now and again. I do my best to be honest however, and I certainly wouldn't lie deliberately.

I think when you read your answers, you have to weigh which ones are honest, and which are just there fishing for points. I find it annoying when I ask a question and I get answers from people who clearly don't know, and just fill their answer with something completely useless.
Just be the judge, and most of the time you do get sincere people here, at least that's my experience.
