As far as I'm concerned They are both good sauces.(not the best on the market)but as a staple hot sauce both of them accent certain foods better than the other.
Tabasco is excellent for spicing up scrambled eggs or giving chili a little extra kick of heat or accenting Spanish or creole rice.
Franks on the other hand is perfect for meats such as buffalo style wings or chicken breast.
It's also good on steaks and pork chops.
I use both in my kitchen and I find that Franks is also easier to work with when mixing your own blend of spices to the sauce.
But like I said...they both are perfect for their own different uses.

Tabasco is for heat and Frank's is for flavor. They are two different machines...
They aren't even on the same level. Frank's is the base for all buffalo sauce...all good buffalo sauce just add a little butter and sugar and you're all set.

I Love Frank's but a very close second in my book is Tabasco's Smokey hot sauce...SO GOOD!

Frank's. Tabasco is too vinegary for me. I like the heat more from Frank's than tasting the thinly veiled vinegar of Tabasco.

Frank's. Tabasco is too bland. I put Frank's on everything -- popcorn, in soup, eggs, dip fries in it, mix it with mashed potatoes -- everything. But then I like spicy food.
