TAMIL, it is the most ancient language. I am proud to be a tamilan. here's an example why tamil is the best language,WHO know how to pronounce the letters in their own language not only in india all of the world language?

See.this can't have a specific answer..there r 800 languages in India n each of them would tell their language is special n hence the best. I being a Kannadiga, can say Kannada is the best. Similarly Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Hindi,etc can be best according to the speakers of those languages. But if an answer is required for this question, the whole of India should stand unitedly n support a particular language, which can happen only if the language is too unique. That definitely can be the one and only SANSKRIT- the mother of all languages

INDIA has a diverse list of spoken languages among different groups of people. Atleast 800 different languages and around 2000 dialects have been identified. India has a list of 23 official languages.
HINDI is the principal official language used by the central government and ENGLISH is the associate official language.

well we can't take any language as granted or give a language special treatment. every language is the outcome of their own religion and geography. there are more than 3600 languages being spoken in India. i want ask in reverse, who is liable to choose who is best or worst?
in a better way i answer, the language which can be spoken and understand easily is the best language of all.

India has languages as old as Sanskrit and as young as Malayalam. Assemese to Baloch or Nepali to Marathi, whatever you like most is the best language.

Was just wondering if u r an Indian.. If u are, how can you be baised towards one particular language? India's known for it's diversity, remember? That includes different laguages too!

Sanskrit, because it's the basis for nearly all the indian languages. even though it's a dead language, we wouldn't have any of the other's without it. Also, it's the language of the gods in the Gita.

kannada is the best indian language, so far it has bagged 7 jnanapeeta awards. it is the highest award given to literature in india.no other language is awarded more than 5 awards
