Have you ever pretended you cooked all day for the wonderful dinner on the table, when, in reality, it was all take-out or frozen... and just served on your nice dishes?

I confess ... I have - in peices - not a whole meal (yet). Sometimes I'll add a salad or the desert. There are wonderful things in deli's, bakeries, and the frozen-section of the supermarket which make cooking and entertaining MUCH simpler. All you need are nice dishes, fancy napkins, and a good bottle of wine!

Oh yes! It's a good talent to have. I may hate Sandra Lee (Food Network), but semi-homemade is a good thing. It just depends on how you combine the pre-made food and the homemade parts. Who will know if you didn't roast that chicken yourself??

YES!!! Not for close friends or for relatives, but there have been times when my mother has offered to make a dish when I have had to have one for an occasion and I had been too busy to prepare it myself. At least it was something I had a recipe for though. Everyone always wants to know how to make what you have if they like it, so I want it to be something I can explain! My mom is so great! I have 2 kids and we work at our church and I have a full time job so sometimes I just don't have it in me to cook!

Nevah! ALWAYS let my guests know where the food I'm serving came from - suppose one of 'em turns out to be allergic, and the fancy stuff from the deli was cooked in peanut oil? Don't ya think I have an obligation to be truthful? Allergies like that to peanuts ain't no laughing matter - ya could kill someone that way!
