Breathing disorders that occur during sleep include obstructive sleep apnea and central sleep apnea. Less severe forms include snoring and upper airway resistance syndrome. The term sleep-disordered breathing is used to encompass all such disorders.

I am not a doctor so I am not going to sit here and write that you are not going to die from Sleep Apnea. I have had Sleep Apnea for the better part of 15 years and treated with a CPAP for the better part of 6 years now. It has changed my life. I cannot say that it will not kill you either, I do not know the severity of your ailment. I can tell you that while this goes untreated, and depending on the severity of your Sleep Apnea, there are certain factors that can debilitate your heart and other breathing functions. If yours is a self-prognosis then I can tell you what my symptoms were. Loss of hair in my lower legs, poor circulation marks in my lower legs, raccoon eyes from a lack of quality sleep, falling asleep everywhere (even as little as two hours after awaking from a bad nights sleep), falling asleep while watching a movie, heavy snoring, and the winner, not breathing for 1 to 2 minutes throughout the course of sleep at night. I do not know what you have, but you need to get an adult to listen to you, and maybe read some of these good answers that you have received.

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!
1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.
2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.
The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.
After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net
Ohhh..and Good Luck!

it's not so much that they die in their sleep.
but sleep apnea is associated with heart disease and
early death from other causes.
