i have no sound and no sound icon at the bottom of my screen i think it was removed by accident could i set one up via internet

Ignore the idiotic response you got first. What you need to do is identify what sound card your computer has. If you don't mind opening up your computer and extracting the sound card (if it's a plug in one), you'll be able to do this quite easily. If, however, the sound card is 'on-board', you could either refer to your manual or download a program such as Belarc Advisor (a free program). This will give you a comprehensive breakdown of the hardware within your computer.
The manufacturer of your motherboard will undoubtedly have downloads available for your motherboard, unless it's rather a dated one.
Another option is to download the drivers from http://www.driverguide.com. You'll need to register, but it's free. They have hundreds of thousands of different drivers available.
