Looking for a reaction you'll get it!

I think both sexes have a different thought pattern and it depends on what area of expertise you are covering as to which will be the smarter.

I,m a woman, but my dad was one of the smartest blokes i,ve ever known he could anwser any question and do any task given to him. However my husband, sorry to say is quite thick,my 7 year old knows more than him-but his parents aren, tthat clever at all.It makes no difference what sex somebody is or what education they get.The more time you spend with your children from the age of babies the better, their brains are like sponges taking everything in,read, write draw, sing and educate them as parents the best you can, this way before they start school they may well be ahead of their peers. This will give them a head start and where they go when they leave school is up to them.So i think men and women are equal and we are all quite able to learn.

Men are smarter because all the answers before and after this by women will probably have something that they do better than men. Men though, just let women think they are better at these points....so they carry on doing them and therefore us Men don't have to.

It depends what you mean by smarter.

It's been scientifically proven that men are better visualizers so that's why they make good architects and can parallel park better (to name a couple of examples). And women can multi-task better so that gives them an advantage in hectic and sometimes pressurised environments.

The point being that our brains function differently and therefore it's impossible to say who's smarter.

Anyway, what do I care, I'm a cup cake. LOL

I don't know but if this article backs me up then i would have to say women some say it a fact but read this article:
When it comes to intelligence, the battle of the sexes continues.

People continue to debate the question, Who is smarter, men or women?

Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia have released a study that may help settle the debate.

The researchers note that there have been lots of previous studies which found that head size correlates statistically with intelligence--not quite a widely known fact.

Because on average a man's body and head is bigger than woman's, many might believe that men are more intelligent than women.

The researchers say, however, that is not the case. Men and women consistently score equally on intelligence tests, experts agree. Women are just as smart as men.

The University of Pennsylvania Medical Center report also addresses the question, If head size correlates with intelligence and women have smaller heads, why don't they have lower intelligence?

The recent study concludes that men and women simply think differently.

"We are beginning to get an explanation for the lack of intelligence disparity between men and women," said Dr. Ruben C. Gur, noted psychology professor, author of the new study.

"Women have a higher percentage of tissue devoted to computation than men. Men have a greater proportion of tissue assigned to the transfer of information between distant regions."

The recent study found that women have a higher proportion of "gray matter" than men. Men have a higher proportion of "white matter."

Gray matter is where computation takes place with nearby regions in the brain. White matter is responsible for the communication between groups of cells in different areas of the brain.

Forty men and 40 women, ages 18-45, participated in the study on intelligence. The study has received national attention and appeared in several media outlets including the Journal of Neuroscience.

The New York Daily News also reported on the study in a story by Michael Segell and noted: "Women's brains are organized around instant linkage, which explains why they can become best friends with a stranger while standing in a check-out line."

The newspaper also noted, "Men's brains are designed to draw connections between seemingly unrelated ideas and feelings--between a new car, say, and sexual arousal."

The study also offered a possible explanation of why men are better at certain mental processes than women and vice versa. Generally, women excel on verbal tasks, while men do better on spatial tasks.

An example of a spatial task given to the study participants involved viewing an array of lines fanning out at angles. Shown a second set of two shorter lines at similar angles, the participants were asked to identify which lines in the original fan array matched the angles of the shorter line.

Experts agree that the debate on intelligence between men and women is one battle that will go on and on, without a winner on either side. But one thing remains clear, the experts say, men and women do think differently.

Neither, as intelligence is not determined by gender but by knowledge. Male and female are both born with a brain and have the same capacity to learn as much as the other person. So "neither" is my answer to your question.

gender has nothing to do with who is smarter. in the past many PEOPLE (both genders) have been given awards or even praise for the things that they have accomplished. Everyone one is smart it just depends if we apply our selves or not.

that all depends on what the situation is. i've seen men be very smart woth some things but then other times machoism takes over and its like gorrillas in the mist. women on the other had i've also see be completly unreasonable and stop talking to there best friend over "she hung up the phone on me"........my opinion we are bolth equally smart and stupid.....it just depends on the topic at hand as to who is smarter

Honestly I think it depends on the man and the women. Sometimes I can be smarter then my b/f and sometimes he can be smarter then me. So it goes both ways
