I'm thinking about opening up a liquor store, where should I start?

Start by selecting the area where you want to open the store. Look for other business that are in the area which might compliment your business, like restaurants. Make sure that the area isn't overcrowded with similar businesses. Location is extremely important. With parking. Next scout out your location. Your location could make our break your business.

Next figure out how much rent, utilities, credit card, inventory, is going to cost you because you are going to need all that if you need to get a small business loan.

Check out employment laws if you plan on hiring employees.

You are going to need to apply for a vendor's license and get a state tax id number as well as name registry.
