Sounds like my mom's skin and she can pull off purple well (dark hair also). What color are your eyes? I would go w/ more of lilac or light purple.

that would look fabulous darling if you mix it with some different shades...maybe som lilac on the bottom, darker in the crease. try it out with some cheap stuff at the drug store, just to make sure...or go to a professional place in the mall, and tell them you want purple.

all colors look good its just how you apply it and what your eye color is and how your eyelids are from your eyes.......I think you should visit the mall and see if the ladies at the counter has any ideas on how to apply....you dont necessarily have to feel you HAVE to buy anything....just browse at the counter and the purple that you are going to use and try it on....if the lady asks to help just say you want to see if purple looks good on you...then she will show you how to apply by the way your eyes are and the color.....I suggest Clinique, BobbyBrown, SmashBox, and Origins since their counters are more user friendly and accessible....

I say yes, if used sparingly. Almost any color can look good on any woman if done right and not overdone. Make sure you use it lightly and blend it into something that is a little darker or lighter. Should be OK.
